Conquer your biggest challenges.

Conquer your biggest challenges.

“Have no fear of perfection- you’ll never reach it.” — Salvador Dali

A new year brings new resolutions. Take stock in what you accomplished in 2019 and set new goals for 2020. What do you want to get done? Where do you want to go? Who do you want to see? How much do you want to make? What do you need to do to get there? Create a plan and timeline to achieve your goals.

Last year my goals were related to my health, my business, and my family. I crossed off many of them that included more quality family time, improving my healthy lifestyle, visiting particular destinations and writing a book.

In August I had a health scare that made me rethink my priorities. Now I see everything I have achieved as a gift. I have learned to appreciate every single moment of every experience! I am truly blessed.

My wish for all of you this year is that you achieve everything you set your mind to! If you happen to be a person who finds it hard to stick to goals and New Year’s resolutions, try to make a stand. Take on your single biggest challenge. Stop running from your fears, as they will only make you unhappy and stop you from achieving your true potential. Nelson Mandela stated, “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. ”

We all have reasons or excuses as to why our lives are not where we would like them to be. But we will never be content until we take 100% responsibility for our successes and failures. We cannot always control our lives, but we can control our outlook on life — how we think, feel, and act. Bad stuff happens to all of us. It’s part of life. Recognize this fact; accept it; let go of fear; step out and make a change. Accept that every situation and its outcome depends on how you handle it. The road you travel is your choice and your responsibility.

My challenge for 2020 is to solve my biggest problems. The bigger the problem solved, the greater my success. I know I have been avoiding taking them on because I know the pain and fear involved. But I also know overcoming these problems will give me the greatest satisfaction and change my life for the better.

British billionaire, Sir Richard Branson started Virgin Airlines after the frustrating experience he’d had chartering a plane. Branson decided he could provide a better service and started his own airline because he believed he was prepared to solve the bigger problems. Virgin Airlines tackled British Airways head on and became one of Britain’s major international airlines.

“Nothing tastes as sweet as victory feels.” I sure do love that feeling of winning after I’ve put everything on the line to reach for my dreams.

Everything you’ve ever wanted, including your success, is found on the other side of fear. You can achieve any goal by taking on your biggest problems in 2020. Go face your biggest fear and conquer it!

There’s no better moment to get started achieving the life you want.

Happy New Year! Go Big in 2020!
